Restaurant

Les Templiers

In Roquebrune's historic center, Ariane Meyer, owner of the Regina hotel in Wengen (four-star restaurant Chez Meyer's) has brought style to this 30-place restaurant with terrace. Mickael Cochet has set himself a simple mission: cook well. Modest to the extreme, the chef (who is cooks at Regina in winter) does better: He produces, for around 50 EUR, one of the most well-mastered repertoires in the Var. Precise flavoring, choice of product, opening... we had a hard time finding a flaw. Puffin in argan oil, lemon confit with salt and turnip jus, and loup filet à la plancha, raspberry-green tea balsamic show the delicacy of his openings; tuna in a crust of dried figs; rye cooked in ratatouille, light foie gras sauce; veal en cocotte, cébettes tatin, thyme tomatoes; braised veal with roasted aromatic jus; finally delicious raspberry gratin with lime, cacao, and pistachio coulis. Provence rules the extensive wine card. A second rameau for this sensitive and careful cuisine, and points for menus offered in French, English, German, as well as a vaulted cellar now available for evening tastings.
