Now almost 10 years old and newly renovated, this warm and coquettish table has conquered the commercial clientele of the district west of Nice. Frédéric Astie and Ludovic Goux guard against nostalgia or mimicking chic addresses, finding a just middle ground in their gastronomic brasserie. Summer truffles in pastry; grilled prawns with soy glaze; risotto with coconut milk and mango; honey-lemon duck magret and polenta... all done with character and frankness. Gastronomy, but lightly done, with prices almost of a local corner table. Nice wine card that's a bit unexpected here, along with generous servings and the warm welcome from Frédéric Astié. All the ingredients of a good table.
