La Bastide de Saint-Tropez (restaurant L'Olivier)
Redecorated but faithful to its discrete bastide spirit, the hotel cultivates elegance and light far from Tropezian fury. In this reserved setting gastronomy has known rich hours, highs and lows, and some short sequences. Today, with Kevin Altier, the time seems to have arrived to calm things down and stop running after stars. Location is back at the center, in tune with the season: pan-fried Provençal mushrooms; loup filet with girolles; roasted lotte and creamed chanterelles; grilled beef filet with wine sauce... are dishes with just flavors and their share of pride. A tempered Mediterranean in harmony with the intimacy of the get-away hotel.
