Between the Rue Jean Jaures and the Place d'Armes, not far from the Opera, this small table in the old town has charm, manners, and serves good cooking in the Southern wine-bar fashion. Julien Bazzano prepares calamari fricassee; Piedmont gratin; veal osso bucco à l'orange; half-cooked tuna; polenta fries; tomato and lemon confits.... Friendly "Italian" cuisine that goes well with Var vintages, notably Bandol, with a good choice of wines by the glass. Smiling welcome from Céline in that vaulted dining room with contemporarly decor and, at cocktail hour there's wine tasting and tapas.
