L'Estagnol  

Brégançon, Cabasson, Pellegrin, L'Estagnol... the small road that winds under the pines and oaks between beaches and vineyards is magic. This part of the coast can be explored as one of the last virgin regions of the departement, even if the last "secret corners" have long disappeared. It's a bit crowded sometimes on the terrace, but a moment of open air braising - anchoide, grilled fish, crawfish platters, bouillabaisse, beef cutlets cooked on a wood fire - is hard to refuse. One reservation: the cost for this get-away can be salty, and the rapid service somewhat too informal.
