In two years, Sylvain Etiévant, a Ducasse veteran from Côté Jardin, Bar & Boeuf, and the Grill at the Hotel de Paris, has given new life to this address beloved of Monégasques, founded by the Novaretti family at the entrance to the Jardin Exotique. He has redone it bistro-brasserie style with terrace and sunny view on the town and the Prince's palace. Market-based cooking is well underway with wise pricing and simple preparations. Octopus and potatoes; omelette; beef tartar; boneless rabbit and vegetables; daube-ravioli; osso bucco; lamb confit.... Evenings, the devilish platters are more "cooked" and joined by some wine by the glass. Good quality-price ratio at 30 Euros.
