In the middle of the Maures highlands, between Collobrières, La Chartreuse de la Verne, and La Garde Freinet, there's nothing but vineyards, old oaks and brush. Isabelle Daziano's farm-auberge is a nature get-away. In the dining room with fireplace or on the terrace, the cooking will be family style and unique to the Var: liver paté terrine; vegetable tourtes; garden salad; petits farcis; guinea fowl with grapes; aioli; garlic potatoes gratin.... The wine is from the domain. An honest country stop in the Maures countryside. |
